EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

A special emphasis is laid by the school to expose students to their immediate environment, and sensitize them to feel responsible towards their environment and its conservation. Students are taken on regular excursions outside the city areas, to develop an understanding of these.

At Carman, we believe strongly in the all-round development of the child, and therefore make every effort to understand, nurture and hone the inborn talents and skills of the students, helping them to evolve as healthy personalities with versatile interests.

Educational Tours
Educational tours are conducted every year by the school. For the personal grooming of every student not only in the phase of education confined merely to books, but also towards practical knowledge of the existing world, students are taken to various destinations. This includes various meuseums, exhibitions, etc.

Sports
The School has excellent facilities for students. In their daily regular curriculum, the students take part in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. These activities are meant not only to make them more dynamic, but to instill in them a sense of achievement, self-confidence and camaraderie.

The School has various playgrounds with sports facilities like Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Basketball, Tennis, Athletics and indoor-activities. The School stresses on its students to take active part in all kinds of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, ranging from craft workshops, theatre, yoga, classical dances, air-rifle shooting, hiking and excursions, painting, debates to athletics and indoor sports, in order to bring out their creative faculties.

The School organizes a Football tournament for the Sub-Junior boys called "Carbery Memorial Sub-Junior Football Tournament" names after one of the founders, Mr. A.G. Carbery, since 1983. The Tournament today attracts many teams from schools from other towns and cities.

Dramatics
One of the clubs of ECA, dramatics has a taste in itself. Those interested in acting & mimic's are welcomed in this club. Age is no bar. Even seniors show their expertise skills in drama in the annual function of the school. Apart from dramatics, there are other clubs for the students for their nourishment. This includes Western Dance, Folk Dance, Art & Craft, etc. It is upto the students' wish to choose atleast one club in extra-curricular activities in the school.
